Dr. Martens Spring/Summer 2015 Campaign
What Do You Stand For?
Serving us another slice of activism this season, British brand Dr. Martens returns with its ‘What Do You Stand For?’ campaign for spring/summer 2015. Celebrating “free-thinking individuals; from the first timers to those who have been with us forever”, the campaign candidly captures real Dr. Martens wearers in their natural environments. Photographer James Pearson Howes has also returned, having worked across the label’s autumn/winter 2014 campaign. However, the campaign stretches beyond still images this time around, with a series of short films capturing the beliefs of some of its subjects, including Berlin-based stylist Sebastiano, Trash & Vaudeville store manager Jimmy and London-based hat maker La Touche. Accompanying personal imagery is where the 16 subjects show the world what they stand for, with each video containing snapshots of something that holds meaning to them, be it an album cover or childhood photo.
