Billionaire Boys Club EU Summer 2014 Lookbook
Pharrell Williams & Nigo Continue Menswear Success
Billionaire Boys Club, the brainchild of Pharrell Williams and A Bathing Ape founder Nigo, has released its summer 2014 lookbook. The streetwear brand’s latest collection features t-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts and short-sleeved seersucker shirts. Trousers in the range use a Japanese newspaper print while hoodies come in a faded neon pastel colour way, inspired by Miami. Other designs include crashed sports cars on vests and shorts, as well as diamonds and dollar signs on bucket hats. For the summer 2014 images, Billionaire Boys Club recalled photographer Dexter Navy. It’s the fourth time the London-born talent has worked for the brand, alongside projects for i-D magazine, Nike and Marc Jacobs. “In this collection there are a lot of bright colours, so I wanted to strip back my usual style.” Navy said. He went on to explain how he street-casted every model: “We brought together some of London’s youth who are really on the streets… so it felt like they walked onto set wearing their own clothes.” The brand has also produced a behind the scenes video to accompany the campaign, produced by fashion distribution company, a number of names*. The summer 2014 collection is available to buy from Billionaire Boys Club stockists including ASOS, End Clothing and Selfridges, as well as online. Prices start from around £35 for t-shirts.
